With the campus move just under three months away, we want to check in with you, share some important updates and hear your top concerns as we continue to make arrangements for the transition.
Suggested walking and bike routes to school
Maps of safe walking, biking and SacRT routes to school are now available. A drop-off traffic flow map has also been developed. Please review these maps with your student determine which route will work best for your family:

We started school on the new campus on Jan. 7, 2025
We started our first day at the new campus located at 2641 Kent Drive, Sacramento, on Jan. 7, 2025. When we come back from winter break, we will be starting the new year on the new campus.
With the transition, we heard some students express that they will change schools. We wanted to announce that all western-region middle schools such as Arden Middle School, Arcade Middle School and Winston Churchill Middle School among others, are at or over capacity. The likelihood of successfully enrolling your student to another school is slim to none.
Please plan accordingly so your student arrives safely at the new campus location at 2641 Kent Drive, Sacramento, on Jan. 7, 2025 and let us know if you have any questions.

Katherine Johnson Middle School will move into its brand-new campus on January 7, 2025! This brand-new campus, located at 2641 Kent Drive, will be exclusively our own, featuring brand new facilities including:
- Makerspace lab
- Multipurpose room
- Library and classrooms
- Spacious outdoor areas and playfields

Exciting changes ahead
The construction of this campus has been eventful. Environmental reports and weather delays impacted the completion date of our campus, but we are still excited to hit the ground running in January 2025. A move-in timeline will be available soon, and leadership is ready to support the Katherine Johnson community throughout the transition.
