CAASPP Testing

CAASPP Testing

Each year, students participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). Your child will take the following tests, depending on their grade level:

  • Math for grades 6th through 8th will take place Tuesday through Thursday from April 1st through 10th
  • English Language Arts for grades 6th through 8th will take place Tuesday through Thursday from April 22nd through May 2nd
  • Science for 8th graders only will take place from May 6th through 9th

You are an important part of your child’s education. To ensure your child does their best, please:

  • Explain that these tests are used as tools to help them learn, and that they should not be anxious or scared.
  • Remind your child to try their very best
  • Get a good nights sleep and eat a nutritious breakfast.
  • Avoid early dismissals or absences during the testing days.

You will receive your child’s results at or before the beginning of the next school year. The results will identify where your child is doing well or needs more help.
